Cheerleading

I had my very first cheer leading experience last weekend and it couldn't have gone better! I LOVED it and now I keep asking Mom & Dad when I can go back and cheer again. The problem is that it was a one time fundraiser by our local HS. We did a 2 hour camp, dinner with the cheerleaders and then got to cheer during the first half of the game. Mom said she reluctantly signed me up thinking that I wouldn't follow through and be too shy to do it; boy was she wrong!

Here I am waiting on the field for my the big moment.

Look at all the kids; it was packed!

So another side-note, Fun Don (mommy & daddy's friend who just so happens to be the ASB director at the HS) hooked me up. I was partnered with the Captain of the Varsity cheer squad; Aleigh! Here I am with her ready to cheer with her.

Aleigh was awesome and tried extra hard to get me to participate. I just stood there most of the time with a beaming smile but not sure about actually cheering in front of all those people.

Another pep talk from Aleigh.

I did manage to shake the pom-poms a lot and stand up on her cheer box like a pro!

Finally, the last 2 cheers of the half I decided to join on in! I was so excited and so proud of myself!

And the final cheer of the game. Mom wants me to apologize for the poor qualify of her camera.....she now thinks she may have convinced Daddy to let her buy a new camera!

Me with the best cheer coach ever, Aleigh!
